Our Values How to not suck

Hell sure. Every company needs a values page. At least that's what our business advisor hammered into our heads politely suggested. Fine. Let's see, what's on the bucketlist. Tagline? WTF?...

Crafting Games with Human Creativity and Ingenuity

Great! That sounds amazing. One off the list. What's next? Deep value description, current challenges... aw fuck this!

tl:dr Really, maybe you know one of us, maybe you don't. But really, we want to be decent people. Working here has to be fun and challenging. tl:dr over! But if you really want to know more we'll put it down for you:

Our stance on...

CRUNCH
Sure, sometimes you'll have to work your ass off, and some deadlines suddenly become way too tight. But crunch as part of the culture? We had that enough in our lives already. Hard pass.

AI
As in LLMs/Agents creating slop. This is the polar opposite of creativity. It is creative value extraction in form of theft. We're not saying there wouldn't be any good uses for the tech. There would be. But techbros seemlingly can't be bothered. NO THANKS. If you want to work with/for us then you're required to do it the old way. Also people apparently (and observably) get (even) dumber by AI use, which doesn't help either. We're fully committed to creating games with love, curiosity and creativity. 100% Made by humans. No AI.

HATE
No hate in any form. Especially against marginalized communities. Extremism and hate in any form is the worst and goes against what we believe should be a good human behaviour towards each other.

OFFERS
"To rework or homepage for free" or "To enhance our efficiency" or "Help us generate leads". If you read this and badly want us help generate leads or sell storage solutions (hardware. Racks and such. Not software. Also not kidding, we gt those messages a lot) Let us spell it out for you: We create digital computer games. On a computer. Digitally. We don't storage solutions. We also don't need leads. We need People wishlisting out games! And, just for the record, we don't need a new webpage. We just got one. It's still good.

Still here?

You're either really into reading "Our Values" pages for whatever reason (research? Feel free to reach out and give us a hint) or you want to work with us. OK, nice. If you want to apply, just drop us a mail at studio[at]skywardassembly.com. We usually announce everything we are looking for on our socials, but we still love to get in touch. But please, No AI art/code/music/sound. No AI native anything. We can't promise a job, but if you're sincere we'll get back to you with an answer.
